AI and User Interfaces: Welcome to the Future
Did you know that AI could have a major impact on the future of user interfaces? A large portion of many user interfaces could become obsolete because large language models—or LLMs, for short—are easier to use. The problem is the input, which can lead to different results if you don’t describe exactly what you want. This is clearly illustrated in the following example:
That’s why it’s all the more important to explore artificial intelligence. As a result, I hosted a webinar for Marketing.ch to explain AI to marketing professionals. I’ve summarized the key takeaways for you here in this blog post.

AI: The New Superhero of Content Marketing
From brainstorming sessions to generating social media posts—AI can support us on many levels. Wondering exactly how that works? Current AI systems need your input to produce truly useful results. You’ll quickly find that you run into limitations when putting them into practice. The results aren’t always consistent, the content might be incorrect, or you might simply not like what you get. Let’s take a look at some specific examples.
Our Heroes: ChatGPT and Midjourney
ChatGPT and Midjourney are two AI tools that we now use every day. The figure below clearly shows the limitations of these systems. The more complex the prompt—that is, the input—the further the output strays from the desired result.
Depending on the tool, precise specifications are required, which is why I've developed two frameworks.
Four Steps to Success with ChatGPT: The C.O.R.E. Talk Framework
Effective communication and clear instructions are the key to success, especially when working with artificial intelligence. The C.O.R.E. Talk Framework helps with this. It breaks down communication and understanding into four steps: Character, Objective, Rules, and Example, followed by a concluding discussion (Talk).
Character: This step is intended to define the scenario or role. It’s about who ChatGPT is, what their position is, and what situation they’re in. This is where the context is established. For example: “You are the marketing manager at a large company and are facing the challenge of redesigning the social media strategy.”
Objective: Here, you define your goal. What should be achieved by the end of the task? A clear definition of the goal is essential for structuring the rest of the process. "Your task is to develop a plan for the new social media strategy and implement it."
Rules: In this step, you define the general guidelines and rules you must follow. These can vary widely, ranging from language requirements to specific formatting guidelines.
Example: Here we provide references or examples to illustrate the requirements. "Take a look at the strategies of these successful companies and learn from their best practices."
Talk: The final step of the C.O.R.E. Framework is the conversation. It involves a dialogue between you and the client or mentor. This step is crucial for clarifying questions, avoiding misunderstandings, and gathering feedback. "Make sure you fully understand the task and expectations before you begin. Don’t hesitate to ask questions or ask for help if you’re unsure."
You are [WHO], [POSITION] at [COMPANY], [COMPANY DESCRIPTION]. [SITUATION]
Your task is to [TASK].
Your assignment is to write a blog post based on the video transcript. Use Swiss German punctuation and avoid the sharp "S."
Imitate the writing style of the following pages: [LINK], [LINK],…
Learn from the following sources: [LINK] / The result should look like this: …
BEFORE you start a task:
1. Summarize your task and the sources again
2. ALWAYS ask me questions first to ensure a better result
3. Ask me for input on the task before making any assumptions.
Don't start until I give you the go-ahead. Do you understand?
With the C.O.R.E. Talk Framework, you can ensure that everyone involved has a clear understanding of the task and expectations. It is an effective tool for successfully managing and implementing projects.
SDSP Framework: For Better Images in Midjourney
The SDSP framework is a powerful tool. It stands for Situation, Details, Style, and Parameters. With this framework, you can systematically capture and understand the context of an image (Situation), specific information about the depicted object (Details), the artistic style and camera angle (Style), and the relevant Midjourney parameters (Parameters).
First, take a look at the situation. What do you see in the picture? What objects are depicted, and what is happening? Then go into more detail and gather additional information about the object shown. Who created the picture, and what is the subject?
In the next step, you’ll analyze the style. What camera angle was used, and what characterizes the artist’s or photographer’s style? Finally, you’ll examine the parameters. These refer to the Midjourney parameters used to describe the path from a starting point to a destination. By applying the SDSP framework, you can gain a deeper understanding of image content and use it more effectively in your content marketing.
