First and foremost, what matters is what the company achieves with AI: Teams stay up to date through the community, Circles, and use cases, and learn from other members’ use cases. In addition, there’s visibility as an employer and as an AI company within the Swiss AI Landscape, as well as publishing rights, workshop benefits, and a voice within the association. Trainer functions are available as an add-on if a company wants to conduct its own training using swissAI materials.
We are currently developing a process for reviewing course offerings. swissAI does not offer courses itself: The courses are provided by members, and the association reviews the offerings and the instructors based on a standardized set of criteria. Among other things, we evaluate qualifications, the relevance of the content, provider neutrality, learning objectives, and transparency toward participants. The outcome is determined solely by the criteria, regardless of whether a provider is a member. The board of directors establishes the criteria and procedures; we will then provide information here regarding the scope and process.

Startups receive a 50% discount on the regular corporate membership fee as long as they meet the startup criteria. The office reviews the requirements and grants the discount. A company is considered a startup if it
- has been in existence for no more than 5 years since its founding,
- has fewer than 100 employees,
- has its headquarters or conducts a significant portion of its business in Switzerland,
- is not majority-owned by a large company or corporate group,
- has a clear connection to artificial intelligence.
Breakdown of the Payment
The corporate membership fee consists of two parts. CHF 200 per year per activated Member Pro account—up to a maximum of three—constitutes the statutory membership fee pursuant to Art. 4.1 of the Articles of Association; this fee establishes membership and voting rights for the designated individuals. The remaining amount is the fee for visibility and usage services: listing in the Swiss AI Landscape, a company profile, logo usage, and publisher rights. Both parts are shown separately on the invoice, but this does not change the total price. swissAI is a nonprofit organization but is not tax-exempt: The membership fee is not tax-deductible as a donation, but can generally be recorded as a business-related expense. swissAI is currently not subject to value-added tax.
